S♡NE「보고 싶었어」 “We’ve missed you.” Event during Complete
After being away from home doing promotions overseas for so long, SNSD came back to Seoul to perform for their 2nd Asia Tour. Korean fans planned a special event with a short, but sincere message for them.
what is their OTP namE? Xiuhyun? Seomin? Xiuseo?
I, personally, could care less if anyone gets offended by what I’m about to say; it’s my opinion, not a fact.
Recently there’s been a lot of excitement and commotion in the K-Pop world due to SNSD and 2NE1’s comeback. First and foremost, I’d like to put out there that I’m a S♡NE. Not a delusional one or one that claims to be a S♡NE and then trolls people to create unnecessary hate for SNSD. What’s been bothering me, is how people are trying to devalue SNSD’s album and title track. It’s completely fine to dislike something because preferences exist for a reason but to go around trying to make your opinion a fact is another thing. I’m fine with people liking 2NE1’s album more or preferring it over SNSD’s but as soon as someone says that they like SNSD’s album more, people are side-eyeing you. I don’t know what people were expecting from them but their album was pleasant for me. People keep comparing it to their previous albums and I just don’t understand why, because it’s not supposed to be Gee album 2.0, Genie album 2.0 etc., you get it.
Then, you have people comparing SNSD’s album to 2NE1’s when they’re not even in the same genre but whatever. I don’t get why people can’t enjoy both albums or at least enjoy one of them without putting the other down. Also, I don’t think either album was boring, they both put effort into their albums and I feel that calling either one boring is a subtle insult and basically dismissing their effort. Another thing that bothers me is how people say: “S♡NE’s would buy an SNSD album even if they just breathed for the audio.” I’m not disputing that there aren’t any people out there who would do that because I’m sure there are a select few who would but…. I most certainly wouldn’t buy an album just because they “breathed” for the tracks — that’s honestly ignorant as hell and I find that to be an insult to our fandom. Not all of us are like that and if you’re going to try to insult our taste in music or SNSD’s music, you should definitely step it up because that shit is getting overly used and it’s pathetic to insult someone’s music preferences or even attempt to.
I listen to SNSD because their music makes me happy or it can fit the mood that I’m in, sometimes it even gives me confidence, depending on the song. The MAIN reason I love SNSD as much as I do and the reason that I’m a S♡NE is because of those nine girls and their individual personalities. If you think their album is boring, fine. If it disappointed you, I’m sorry but if they released something like their previous releases, people would complain about that. If they experimented with their sound more, people would be mad and disappointed about that — therefore, they can’t please everyone. If you wanted the title track to have more umph to it, to be more upbeat or to be like how it sounded in the teaser, I’m also sorry for that but you need to understand that the song turned out the way it did because that’s how it was supposed to. Personally, I tried to imagine the song being more upbeat and it would sound a bit off to me, I like how the song turned out in the end. It makes me want to dance, the lyrics are good, their vocals were on point, the dance also seemed pretty good from what I’ve seen.
